First Young Leaders Programme cohort graduates

January 25, 2010 -- Twenty-three Seychellois from the first cohort of the Young Leaders Programme graduated last Friday in the presence of the Head of State families and guests.
President James Michel said at the ceremony that the graduation celebrated an opportunity that allowed the young Seychellois to show Seychelles what they could do.
“This graduation is one of many transformations that we are marking in our country, transformations that we are undertaking together,” said the President.
He reminded the audience that young people were already leaders in our development, and that it was for this reason that we said “the future starts today”.
“Together with the young leaders who are graduating today, we are proud to say as a nation that we are ready for today. We are ready for tomorrow. Yes, we are ready for the future,” stated the President in his speech.
