April 21, 2010 -- The United States ambassador, Ms Mary Jo Wills, yesterday called on President James Michel at State House. She said they talked about various areas of cooperation between Seychelles and the US "including the challenge of piracy in the Indian Ocean and improving economic ties between the two countries".

Ms Mills who is based in Mauritius, is today signing grant agreements with seven Seychellois non-governmental organizations and community groups for a total of R348,750 as part of the Ambassador's Special Self Help Fund.
