Vice President Faure holds consultative meeting with Seychellois students studying in Botswana

During his visit to Gaborone, Botswana where he is currently leading the Seychelles delegation at the 35th SADC Summit, Vice President Danny Faure took the opportunity to meet with Seychellois students currently studying in country.

In his opening remarks to the students, the Vice President extended the greetings of President of the Republic of Seychelles to the students as well as his delight at the hard work and dedication that the students are placing in their studies.

The students were commended for wanting to further their academic baggage, for both themselves and for Seychelles.

The students expressed their satisfaction with their studies and their life in general in Botswana, highlighting their appreciation of their respective field of study relating  to the needs, specificities and culture of Seychelles.

All the 20 students are following courses in education, specialising in various fields ranging from the sciences, english language, history, mathematics amongst others.

This consultative meeting held by Vice President Faure signifies the strong importance that Government places in the education of the Seychellois people as one of the national priorities.

In his closing remarks Vice President Faure wished all the students success for themselves, their families and for Seychelles.

Also present at the meeting were the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Transport, Mr. Joel Morgan, Principal Secretary in the Vice President's Secretariat, Mrs. Jeanne Simeon, and the Permanent Representative to SADC, Ambassador Claude Morel.
