Accreditation of New Zambian High Commissioner

The new High Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia, H.E. Ms Brenda Muntemba, presented her credentials to President Danny Faure at State House this morning.

President Faure welcomed the High commissioner and her delegation to Seychelles and expressed the hope that her accreditation serves as a stepping stone to deepen collaboration between Seychelles and Zambia.

“We are committed to working towards consolidating the existing friendship as well as accomplishing new successes, by exploring ways to elevate the cooperation between our two countries,” said President Faure.

The President and High Commissioner Muntemba discussed many areas of mutual interest, including the recruitment of teachers, tourism and trade, as well as other areas where Seychelles and Zambia can share experiences and learn from each other.

Following the accreditation ceremony, speaking to the local media, High Commissioner Muntemba expressed how deeply honoured she is to have been accredited as the High Commissioner for Seychelles. She also mentioned the discussions held with the President to enhance existing areas of cooperation and explore new ways to reinforce bilateral relations between the two countries.

High Commissioner Muntemba will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
