Appointment of CEO and Deputy CEO of the Agency for the Prevention of Drug Abuse and Rehabilitation

President Danny Faure has today announced the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer and the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Agency for the Prevention of Drug Abuse and Rehabilitation, following the recommendations of the Board of the Agency, as required by Sections 12 and 14 of the Act under which the Agency is established.

The Chief Executive Officer will be Mrs Beryl Naiken.  Mrs Naiken has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, as well as a Master's Degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling.  She has wide experience in the field of social work and counselling.  Her most recent experience has been as Psychotherapist at CARE (Campaign for Awareness, Resilience and Education).

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer will be Ms Geralda Desaubin, who has a degree in Finance and Investment, and who is currently the Principal Planning Officer in the Agency.

Both appointments will be effective from 1st January 2018.
