President Expresses Condolences on Passing Away of Mr Finley Racombo

The Office of the President has learnt with regret the passing away of Mr Finley Racombo, who had only this week retired from the public service after 45 years of devoted service.

He had specialised in Agriculture and Fisheries, and had served in a number of Chief Executive positions in this sector.  He was Principal Secretary for Agriculture and Marine Resources from 1995 to 2012, CEO of the Seychelles Fishing Authority from 2012 to 2015, and CEO of the Seychelles Agricultural Agency from November 2016 until his official retirement on 5th March 2018.

The President described Mr Racombo as a dedicated and respected professional who had devoted most of his life to the development of natural resources in Seychelles.  He had also contributed immensely to the civic and political life of his country.  The President said that his passing away was a great loss to Seychelles, and extended his deepest condolences to Mr Racombo's family.
