Appointment of CEO Designate (Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority) And PS (Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine)

President Danny Faure has announced the appointment of Mr Garry Albert as the new Chief Executive Officer Designate of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), with effect from 1st November 2018.  This follows the recommendations made to the President by the Board of the SCAA.

Mr Albert will work closely with the current CEO, Mr Gilbert Faure, who is due to retire on 31st December 2018, after over 45 years' service to the SCAA.  Mr Albert will take full responsibility as CEO (SCAA) from 1st January 2019.

Mr Albert, who is presently Principal Secretary for Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine, holds a Masters Degree in Leadership & Strategy.  He has previously acted as CEO of Air Seychelles in 2011, and was Deputy CEO of the Seychelles Ports Authority from 2012 until his appointment as Principal Secretary in 2016.

President Faure has also announced the appointment of Mr Alan Renaud as the new Principal Secretary for Civil Aviation, Ports & Marine from 1st November 2018.  Mr Renaud, who holds a BSc in Applied & Engineering Physics, has held various senior management positions in Air Seychelles, including responsibility for its Training Academy, and later for the airline's Corporate Affairs and Strategic Planning.
