President Faure meets members of the Board of SEYPEC

President Danny Faure chaired a meeting with the Board of the Seychelles Petroleum Company (SEYPEC), at State House today.

President Faure started the meeting by commending the Board for their hard work and noted his appreciation of both past and present Board members, the management team of SEYPEC and all the staff, for their significant contributions to the organisation.

During the meeting, the Chairperson of the Board, Dr Selwyn Gendron, gave the President a full appraisal of the performance of SEYPEC and its operations. Board members had the chance to further discuss key issues such as safety and risks of operations, infrastructure projects, human resources development, performance of Seychelles Tankers and other financial aspects of the company.

President Faure noted the success stories of SEYPEC and commended them for being a solid organisation that contributes both on a macroeconomic level to the economy, and on a microeconomic level enhancing the quality of life for citizens.

SEYPEC was incorporated in 1985. It’s operations revolve around the supplying of fuel to the domestic market, bunkering of vessels, aviation refuelling activities and the management of its shipping arm.
