New Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Seychelles Accredited

The new Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, H.E. Mr. Mubarak Mohammad Alsehaijan, presented his credentials to President Danny Faure during an accreditation ceremony held at State House this morning.
 
The President congratulated Ambassador Alsehaijan on his accreditation and said that it would further cement the bilateral ties between the two nations.
 
“Your Excellency, I wish to extend a warm welcome to you to the islands of Seychelles on this historical occasion and extend my sincerest congratulations on your new appointment as the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Seychelles. This new appointment is a testimony to Kuwait’s commitment to preserving and strengthening our countries’ bilateral relationship. Seychelles and Kuwait share similar aspirations for the growth of our countries and your appointment as the new Ambassador, creates a space for deeper dialogue on the way forward for Kuwaiti-Seychelles cooperation,” said President Faure.
 
Ambassador Alsehaijan pledged the commitment of his Government to further enhance the relations between Kuwait and Seychelles and said that as the new Ambassador he is looking forward to engaging in further discussions at ministry level to identify key areas for cooperation between Seychelles and Kuwait.
 
The State of Kuwait and Seychelles established diplomatic relations on 11 July 1988.
 
Also present at State House for the accreditation this morning was as the Principal Secretary Foreign Affairs, Mrs Marina Confait, and other Department of Foreign Affairs officials.
