The newly appointed Ambassador for the Order of Malta, H.E Mrs Francesca Alexandra Azaïs, presented her credentials to President Danny Faure as the second Ambassador of the Order of Malta to the Republic of Seychelles this morning at State House.

The President congratulated Ambassador Azaïs on her well-deserved achievement and expressed his wish to further boost cooperation between the Order of Malta and Seychelles.

“I would like to convey our sincere thanks for the exceptional cooperation over many years and we look forward to working even closer together to consolidate our bilateral ties for the benefit the people and the country. We remain grateful for your hard work and firm commitments to assist Seychelles with donations targeting the health care system, education, and orphanages” said President Faure.

Following her accreditation and meeting with the President, Ambassador Azaïs said she is committed to enhancing and strengthening the existing excellent relationship between Seychelles and the Order of Malta with a particular focus in enhancing cooperation in the area of health.

Today I had the honour to present my credentials to the President and over the coming months I will be working on preparations and discussions with key partners in line with future cooperation in the health sector,” said Ambassador Azaïs.

Seychelles and the Sovereign Order of Malta established diplomatic relations in June 1994.
