In a letter of addressed to Mr Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, President James Michel expressed profound sadness and conveyed deepest condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Seychelles following the explosion in the Chinese port city of Tianjin which claimed many lives.

President Michel, remarked “we offer our thoughts to the bereaved families of the victims and to all those injured in this incident. May they find strength in these trying times.”
