President Faure visits the Financial Services Authority

President Danny Faure paid a visit this afternoon to the Financial Services Authority (FSA), one of the key essential service providers, to show his support and appreciation for the work they are doing.

He was welcomed on arrival by the Chairperson of the Financial Services Authority, Mr Suketu Patel, and Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Services Authority Seychelles, Dr Steve Fanny. The President thanked the management and staff of FSA for their hard work during the coronavirus outbreak and reiterated how important the financial sector is for Seychelles, particularly in these times.

“Your work is invaluable to the economy, bringing in money we need for sectors such as health, education, goods and fuel. Keep up the good work and continue to ensure the regulations in place are robust. We value your work. Government will continue to count on the services that you provide as we go on this journey together,” said the President.

The staff also shared with the President their experiences and challenges, particularly during the period of restriction of movement. President Faure congratulated the staff of FSA for their commitment and encouraged them to continue their hard work as a key pillar of the economy.
