New Justice of Appeal Sworn in

The President of the Republic, Mr Danny Faure, witnessed the swearing-in of Justice Professor Oagile Bethuel Key Dingake as Justice of the Court of Appeal of Seychelles at State House this morning.

During the swearing-in ceremony, the Honourable Justice Professor Oagile Bethuel Key Dingake took two Oaths; The Oath of Allegiance to the Constitution and The Judicial Oath. 

President Faure has appointed Justice Professor Dingake upon recommendations made by the Constitutional Appointments Authority (CAA) pursuant with Article 123 of the Constitution of the Republic of Seychelles. 

Justice Professor Dingake holds a PhD in Law from the University of Cape Town.  Prior to his appointment as Justice of Appeal in Seychelles, he was a Judge of the Supreme Court of Papua New Guinea, where he presided over appeals from the national court and over all matters within the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court. His 20-year career spans academia, legal practice, corporate law and the judiciary, having served for more than a decade as a Judge of the Botswana High Court and facilitating numerous judge trainings in the SADC region including Seychelles.
