Born on the 2nd of March 1973 in Seychelles, Anna Gutierrez is an award-winning communication strategist, seasoned broadcast journalist, and media professional whose remarkable career spans more than three decades at the heart of Seychellois public life.

Anna’s professional journey began at the age of 19 when she joined the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) as a Radio Producer, Researcher, and Presenter a decision that would set the course for an extraordinary vocation. Through her early years at SBC, she immersed herself in the full breadth of broadcast craft, undertaking an extensive range of professional development programmes in radio and television production, management, and leadership. Her talent and commitment were recognised far beyond the shores of Seychelles when she became the first Seychelloise ever to win a SADC award in radio production a historic milestone that stands as a testament to both her individual excellence and her contribution to Seychellois broadcasting on the continental stage.

Over the course of her distinguished career, Anna has served as Producer and Presenter across both radio and television platforms, producing national flagship news programmes and live broadcasts that informed, inspired, and united the Seychellois public. Her investigative documentaries spanning critical social issues including health, human rights, education and tourism reflect her enduring commitment to being the voice of those who cannot speak for themselves. She holds a Diploma in Journalism from the Institute of Journalism Berlin-Brandenburg and a High-Level Diploma in French Language, and is currently advancing her academic excellence through a Master’s degree in Media Leadership.

Beyond broadcasting, Anna has demonstrated a rare versatility as a business leader by creating her own companies, while continuing to provide strategic communication counsel to corporate and government clients as a Communication Consultant.

A devoted Christian, Anna grounds her professional mission in deeply held personal values a commitment to truth, service, and compassion. She considers it her calling to look out for others and to give voice to the helpless, values that have shaped every chapter of her career and that she carries with her into public service. On the 1st of December 2025, Anna joined the Office of the President, bringing with her a lifetime of communication expertise, an unrivalled knowledge of the Seychellois media landscape, and an unwavering dedication to the people of her nation.
