President Faure visits SCAA and Health Centres on Praslin

The President of the Republic, Mr Danny Faure, continued his visits to institutions yesterday, visiting the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) Branch on Praslin, and the two main health centres, located at Grand Anse Praslin and Baie St Anne respectively.
At the SCAA Praslin Branch, the President was welcomed by the Chief Executive Officer of SCAA Mr Garry Albert, the Chief of Operations Mr Wilfred Fock-Tave, and the Praslin Airport Manager Darrel Pouponneau.
The President toured the airport facilities where he had the opportunity to meet and interact with the staff whilst also obtaining an overview of the day-to-day activities of the Praslin Airport.
During the tour the President also visited the Air Seychelles Praslin ground-handling office and the Praslin Fire and Rescue Services Station also located within the premises the Praslin Airport.
Following the tour, the President chaired a meeting with the senior management team, where he thanked all the staff for their hard work and dedication despite the challenges.
Departing Amitié, the President and his delegation visited the Grand Anse Praslin Clinic followed by the Baie St Anne Hospital. Upon arrival President Faure was welcomed by the Nurse Manager, Ms Myra Ernesta and the Nurse in Charge, Mrs Denise Cousin. Also present was the Director General for Community Health, Mr Nicholas Shamlaye.
The President was able to see the daily operations of the health centres including the various limitations, which presented an opportunity to directly discuss possible solutions and an immediate course of action.  During a meeting with the management and staff, the President on behalf of Government thanked the Health professionals for their hard work and commitment despite challenges hey continue to deliver a service for the benefit of the people in their communities.
In the afternoon, the President met with members of the public on Praslin who had written to him requesting an appointment.
