President Faure to attend the Nairobi Summit on ICPD25
11 November 2019 | Foreign Affairs
The President of the Republic, Mr Danny Faure, will be attending the Nairobi Summit in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD).
From 12 to 14 November, the governments of Kenya and Denmark and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) will co-convene the Nairobi Summit on ICPD25, a high-level conference to mobilize the political will and financial commitments urgently required to fully implement the ICPD Programme of Action. This action plan places the human rights of individuals, rather than numerical population targets, at the centre of the global development agenda.
The President will be absent from the country on 12 November and will be back on 13November.
