On his personal behalf, and on behalf of the people of Seychelles, His Excellency Dr. Patrick Herminie, President of the Republic of Seychelles, wishes to express his heartfelt gratitude and deep admiration for the outstanding courage and selflessness demonstrated by two Seychellois men, Mr. Neddy Julie and Mr. Harly André.
Their brave and compassionate actions in coming to the rescue of two visitors who encountered difficulties at sea are a shining example of the noble values that define our nation, demonstrating courage, solidarity, and an unwavering respect for human life. In risking their own safety to save others, Mr. Julie and Mr. André have shown exceptional heroism that fills the entire nation with pride.
President Herminie extends his deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the deceased. Our hearts are heavy with sorrow, and our thoughts and prayers remain with all those affected by this profound loss. The people of Seychelles stand in solidarity with the bereaved family during this difficult time.
President Herminie also extends his sincere wishes for a full and speedy recovery to Mr. Harly André, who is currently hospitalised following his courageous act. The thoughts and prayers of the nation are with him and his family during this time
