Ms. Verona Joubert was born on 28 February 1995 and resides in the Beau Vallon District of Seychelles. She is an experienced human resources and administration professional with over 10 years of experience in the public service.
Ms. Joubert currently serves as Director General for Human Resources and Administration in the Office of the President, having been appointed to the position on 1 June 2026. Prior to her appointment, she served as Human Resources and Administration Manager at the Electoral Commission Seychelles from February 2022. She previously held the positions of Assistant Human Resources and Budget Management Officer from 2020 to 2022 and Senior Office Assistant from 2018 to 2020 within the Seychelles Police Force.
Her academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, which she completed from 2020 to 2022, a Diploma in Human Resources Management obtained from 2016 to 2019, and an Advanced Certificate in Reception Operations and Services from the Seychelles Tourism Academy, completed from 2012 to 2013. She completed her primary and secondary education at Beau Vallon School.
Committed to continuous learning and professional excellence, Ms. Joubert has participated in numerous local and international training and professional development programmes covering areas including human resource administration, operational planning, anti-corruption practices, election administration, protocol and etiquette, health and safety, leadership, and capacity development.
Throughout her career, Ms. Joubert has demonstrated strong professionalism and a people-centred approach to management. Her experience across different levels of the public service has provided her with a broad understanding of employee needs and organisational development, enabling her to lead with empathy, integrity, and purpose.
Ms. Joubert is fluent in English, French, and Seychellois Creole. Outside her professional responsibilities, she enjoys spending time with her family, meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and reading. Her outgoing personality and commitment to continuous learning continue to shape both her personal and professional journey.
