Condolences from Seychelles following death of Polish President

April 12, 2010 -- President James Michel has sent a message of condolence to the Prime Minister of Poland, Mr Donald Tusk, following the plane crash on Saturday which killed the country's President, Mr Lech Kaczynski, his wife and all other 95 peopleÂ on board.
In his message, President Michel said:
"It was with profound sadness and deep shock that we have learned of the plane crash at the Smolensk airport which killed H E Mr Leck Kaczynski, President of the Republic of Poland, his wife and other high government officials.
"In the wake of this tragedy, theÂ government and people of Seychelles join me in expressing our heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences to you, to the government and to the people of Poland, as well as to the families of the victims."
