Statement on State Security

For some time now, there have been reports that certain individuals have visited houses of residents, stopped them on the road or even phoned them to either threaten or make certain proposals, all the while stating that they were state security agents or that they had been sent by State House.

State House wishes to make the following statement:

1.There is no organization called State Security.

2. Nobody is employed in such an organization as it does not exist.

3. If a member of the public is approached by someone presenting himself/herself under this identity, the person should immediately report the incident to the police.

4. State House believes in and reaffirms the rights of each citizen under the Constitution and condemns all actions that may cause fear in citizens.

5. The police are called upon to act promptly when such reports are made to them.
