MEF Delegation Pays Courtesy Call on President Ramkalawan

A delegation from the Mission Electorale Francophone (MEF) of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), led by Mr. André Parant, former French Ambassador and head of the MEF delegation, paid a courtesy call on President Wavel Ramkalawan at State House ,Thursday afternoon. 

The MEF delegation is in Seychelles to observe the forthcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections as part of the OIF's commitment to supporting democratic processes within the Francophone community.

During the meeting, President Ramkalawan welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed Seychelles commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections. The President expressed his appreciation for the OIF's continued support and acknowledged the MEF's vital role in ensuring electoral integrity.

H.E. Mr. Parant conveyed warm greetings from the OIF Secretary-General, H.E. Mrs. Louise Mushikiwabo. Discussions focused on the mission's objectives and the electoral processes in Seychelles.

The MEF mission will continue its observation activities in the lead-up to and during the electoral process before departing on Monday.
